A year after his brother came to Wisconsin, Kayden Lyles gets ready to join the Badgers’ o-line.

Kayden Lyles is one of the better prospects the Wisconsin Badgers have landed in recent years.

Lyles can play any of the three interior positions, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up starting at either guard or center in two or three years. Wisconsin has the luxury of being able to likely redshirt Lyles—despite his talent—like it did with Michael Deiter in 2014 due to the depth on the roster.

Lyles was Wisconsin’s first commitment for 2017. He is an absolutely punishing road grater in the run game, is built very well, thick in all the right places and has also mentioned that his favorite part of his game is pass protection. Lyles came from Saguaro High School in Arizona, which is like Arrowhead and Kimberly in Wisconsin combined. After playing in a wide-open offense there, he transferred to Middleton for his senior season and played in a run-first offense, so he has experienced the best of both worlds before entering a collegiate offense.

Lyles held offers from Oklahoma, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Washington, Utah, USC, Arizona and Arizona State.
