With the most recent recruiting “dead period” having come and gone, the Wisconsin Badgers’ coaches have been busy on the road. This past week, they visited current verbally committed prospects and offered a handful of scholarship to 2018 prospects.
In addition to the recent offensive offers to 2018 recruits Jamal Elliott and Meechi Harris, the defensive staff has been busy out on the road as well.
Wisconsin offered Tampa, Fla. (Hillsborough) cornerback Ken Montgomery, a three-star prospect by Rivals and Scout and a four-star according to 247Sports, who boasts an impressive offer list with over 20 scholarship offers including USC, Iowa, Ohio State, Oregon, Oklahoma and Penn State.

At first glance, it appears to be an uphill battle for the Badgers to land the Florida recruit. Montgomery is a very impressive prospect with good balls skills and doesn’t shy away from contact (see his Hudl highlights above).
The Badgers’ coaching staff also offered Beverley Hills, Mich. (Detroit Country Day School) outside linebacker Kolin Demens. A highly-regarded three-star prospect (247Sports, Rivals, Scout), Demens is also ranked in the ESPN top 300 in the class of 2018.

From his Hudl highlights, Demens appears to be a very disruptive and powerful athlete. At 6’1, 200 pounds, he could be a safety at the next level.
With the offer, Wisconsin joins Michigan, Michigan State, Maryland and Nebraska in pursuit of Demens.
