A great chat with the dependable special teams standout.

Former Wisconsin Badgers running back/safety Kyle Zuleger played 52 games in his career, though fans may not have seen him much on the field on offense or defense. He made his living on special teams, earning prominent roles on return and coverage units.

At the Red Smith Banquet in Appleton, Wis., Joel and I spoke with Zuleger about his time at Wisconsin, Nate Tice’s touchdown in that blowout win against Indiana in 2010 and what he’s doing now as a firefighter.

The Appleton East grad also tells an amazing story of meeting NBA legend LeBron James in 2013 during the Wisconsin-Ohio State matchup. A must-listen.
