GREEN BAY, Wis. – Another key injury in a season opener has depleted a key position for the Wisconsin Badgers’ defense.
Sophomore inside linebacker Chris Orr was injured on the first offensive play for the LSU Tigers in the Lambeau Field College Classic on Saturday. Orr stayed on the ground while the medical staff attended to him. He came off the field with help from trainers, though he wasn’t putting any pressure on his right leg coming off.
Wisconsin announced Orr suffered a right leg injury, and his return to the game is questionable. Redshirt sophomore and former walk-on Ryan Connelly took Orr's place with the first-team defense.
The Badgers were already without redshirt sophomore linebacker T.J. Edwards (foot).
Chris Orr walking on his own now but heading back to the locker room.
