GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Wisconsin Badgers defeated the No. 5 LSU Tigers in the Lambeau Field College Classic on Saturday.

Junior kicker Rafael Gaglianone converted a 47-yard yard field goal to give the Badgers a 16-14 lead late in the fourth quarter. Safety D’Cota Dixon intercepted a Brandon Harris pass to seal the victory for the underdog Badgers.

Heisman Trophy candidate, LSU running back Leonard Fournette, gained 138 yards on 23 attempts, but the Tigers only gained 257 total yards on the afternoon. Wisconsin held their opponents to 2-of-10 on third down attempts and forced three turnovers.

UW’s offense gained 339 yards on the afternoon. Redshirt junior tight end Troy Fumagalli reeled in seven passes for 100 yards. Quarterback Bart Houston, in his first career start, completed 19-of-31 passes for 205 yards but did throw two interceptions.

We’ll have more from B5Q after head coach Paul Chryst and the players speak.

[Update: corrected to say three turnovers, as LSU threw two interceptions and lost one fumble]
