One of the advantages of being so locked in on the class of 2017 is their ability to get aggressive in the class of 2018. This week, the Wisconsin Badgers moved towards grabbing a big physical receiver. One of their more interesting prospects that they have a chance to land is Oxon Hill, Md.'s Daniel George, who they offered Tuesday.
Already 6’2 and 195 pounds, the size and physicality George provides goes without saying. As seen in the Hudl profile, the a four-star prospect also has a tremendous "my ball" mentality. Heck, the quarterback would throw it into double coverage and George would come down with it. The film shows he isn’t just some kind of body catcher either. Add in return skills, and you’ve got a prospect with more than a little upside
He showcased his abilities during the The Opening Regional in Washington D.C., as he was rated the best athlete in the competition. George has that lateral agility to get open against anybody, and it isn’t just him dominating his level of competition either.
As offers go, he has a listed leader of Iowa, with power five offers from Boston College, Maryland, North Carolina State, Rutgers, Virginia, and Virginia Tech. The timing is good for the Badgers to attempt to build a relationship with the talented would-be junior.
