Port Washington, Wis., offensive lineman Tyler Beach verbally committed to the Wisconsin Badgers on Sunday afternoon, continuing a strong start to the 2017 recruiting class. The 6'6, 270-pound prospect announced his decision via Twitter.
Beach is rated a four-star prospect by Rivals and 247Sports, and is a composite three-star prospect. He's ranked as the 28th overall offensive tackle by Rivals, the 32nd overall by 247Sports and 68th in the nation by Scout.
Head coach Paul Chryst and the Wisconsin coaching staff secured Beach's verbal over the likes of Michigan, Notre Dame, Syracuse and Illinois, who all offered, along with Oregon State and Missouri.

Beach is the third verbal commit since March 31, when athlete Jake Ferguson and wide receiver Cade Green both committed. He's the eighth known commitment for UW in the class of 2017, the fifth from inside the state of Wisconsin (not including guard Kayden Lyles, who's slated to play in the Madison area for his senior year).
