Reports came out on Friday that former Wisconsin Badgers star, Montee Ball, has been arrested on a tentative charge of substantial battery. The running back allegedly pushed his girlfriend into a table while at the Hampton Hotel in downtown Madison.
According to Madison.com, Ball was moved to Dane County Jail, after the police received a call early Friday morning at 3:40 a.m. In speaking with the State Journal, a source within the police office reported that Ball placed his hands on the woman (who was not named in the article) and proceeded to pick her up and throw her. The result was a cut on the woman's leg that required stitches. Ball was said to be "very cooperative" upon the police's arrival.
Ball started the 2015 season with the AFC Champion Denver Broncos, was released in September, and was signed to the New England Patriots practice squad for the remainder of the season. Bucky's 5th Quarter will continue to update this story as we gain more information.
