Patrick Johnson II was a highly sought after athlete from the state of Maryland, however ultimately decided on Madison. He'll likely play defensive back for the Badgers, both cornerback and safety are in play here. With the attrition from this graduating class to the secondary, don't be surprised if Johnson were to see the field early for the Badgers in 2016.

Johnson II was one of the more highly recruited commitments for the Badgers this year. Johnson II had offers from (notably): Boston College, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Oklahoma, Pittsburgh, Virginia and West Virginia, with non-offer interest from Penn State, USC and Virginia Tech.
His commitment was the third of five throughout July and early August that carried some momentum towards the regular season for Wisconsin. Johnson II has also been one of the most active Twitter recruiters for Wisconsin, along with Dallas Jeanty, who enrolled early.
