Quintez Cephus is certainly one of the less traditional commitments the Badgers received in this class. A former Furman basketball commit, Cephus' football interest increased significantly during his senior campaign in which he was named a first-team all-state selection by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Recruited by Wisconsin Badgers receivers coach Ted Gilmore, Cephus provides the athletic profile that the Badgers are looking for at wide receiver.

Cephus was one of five Badgers to commit during the regular season, but was the latest to do so. Ultimately deciding on Wisconsin after Georgia Tech balked on offering the prospect immediately following his visit in Atlanta.

Wisconsin was able to poach the Georgia prospect away from in-state schools Georgia Southern and Georgia Tech, both being scheme fits from his high school's option offense. Cephus also had offers from Miami (FL) and Vanderbilt. Georgia also showed interest in the wide receiver, but declined to offer a scholarship.
