After defeating Northwestern 21-7 last Saturday, the Wisconsin Badgers climbed to No. 7 in the College Football Playoff rankings. The selection committee released its second rankings on Tuesday evening.
Wisconsin (7-2, 4-2 Big Ten) is one of four Big Ten teams in the top 10 of the rankings. Michigan (9-0, 6-0) remains at No. 3 and Ohio State (8-1, 5-1) jumped up one spot to No. 5 after its 62-3 win over Nebraska (7-2, 4-2), which fell to No. 19.
Then lies surging Penn State (7-2, 5-1) at No. 10.
The top four are currently:
- Alabama
- Clemson
- Michigan
- Washington
Wisconsin faces Illinois (3-6, 2-4) on Saturday (2:30 p.m. CT, ESPN2).
