There was much rejoicing by the No. 10 Wisconsin Badgers after their 17-9 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday.
Along with staying alive in the Big Ten West division race, UW (5-2, 2-2) brought home the Heartland Trophy back to Madison with a strong defensive effort and just enough offense to overcome some missed opportunities in the first half.
Wisconsin held Iowa to 236 total yards and 2-of-13 on third down conversions, and running back Corey Clement ran for 134 yards on 35 carries and a touchdown.
Some Badgers proclaimed the hard-fought victory, and there were many photos of the bronze/brass bull decorating social media timelines.
