Late last week, Wisconsin offered a pair of four-star defensive prospects in the 2018 class.

Wednesday, Kwantel Raines, a junior safety out of Pennsylvania, announced that Wisconsin had offered him a scholarship.

Raines, a consensus four-star prospect, currently holds more than 15 scholarship offers. Rated as a top-150 player in the country by both 247Sports, Scout and Rivals, he will likely be one of the most highly sought after prospects out of Pennsylvania in the 2018 class.

At 6’3, 190 pounds, Raines plays quarterback and safety for Aliquippa. He brings a physicality and explosiveness that immediately jumps out at you when watching his tape.

Last Thursday, Adrian Jackson announced that the Badgers had extended an offer to him as well.

Jackson is an impressive physical specimen is listed at 6’2, 210 pounds. He currently plays for Mullen High school in Denver, Colo., and is viewed as a safety prospect at the college level by most recruiting services. As a highly regarded prospect, Adrian is rated as a four-star by 247Sports, Rivals and Scout. Additionally, he is recognized as the top 2018 prospect out of Colorado and overall a top-250 recruit by Scout and 247.

In addition to his most recent offer from Wisconsin, Jackson has already received offers from Ohio State, Notre Dame, UCLA and Nebraska, among others.

As things stand for Wisconsin, they currently hold only one verbal commitment out of the recruiting class of 2018: River Rouge, Mich., safety Reggie Pearson.

Without a doubt, Wisconsin would love to pair one of these young physically imposing athletes along side Pearson in the future, but they will have fierce competition from major programs across the country.
