The NFL's Wild Card weekend has come and gone, and now eight teams remain to compete for the Lombardi Trophy and the quest to be named NFL champions for the 2015 season.
The Wild Card round saw former Wisconsin Badgers in J.J. Watt, Garrett Graham, and Kevin Zeitler eliminated from postseason play with their respective teams. However, one saw Russell Wilson and the Seahawks squeak out a victory over the Minnesota Vikings in one of the colder games in NFL history, and Wisconsin's all-time leading receiver (in terms of receptions) stepped up when injuries again struck Aaron Rodgers' receiving corp -- including this nifty two-point conversion from the slot.
Here are Saturday's match-ups, which feature four former Badgers on playoff teams:
Kansas City Chiefs vs. New England Patriots (3:35 p.m. CT, CBS)
- Kansas City Chiefs -- (No Wisconsin Badgers, but former UW-Milwaukee basketball player Demetrius Harris is a tight end for Andy Reid's team)
- New England Patriots -- Running back James White (40 receptions, 410 yards, four receiving touchdowns; two rushing touchdowns); running back Montee Ball (practice squad)
Green Bay Packers vs. Arizona Cardinals (7:15 p.m. CT, NBC)
- Green Bay Packers -- Wide receiver Jared Abbrederis (9 receptions, 111 yards, 5 catches for 1st down -- 2 catches for 14 yards, one two-point conversion reception vs. Washington Redskins in last week's NFC Wild Card playoff round); quarterback Scott Tolzien (only 1 pass thrown for four yards in 2015)
- Arizona Cardinals -- None
