Wisconsin falls to No. 24 in Amway Coaches Poll, out of AP Top 25

The Badgers tumbled following their defeat at the hands of Alabama.

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

After coming in as the No. 18 team in the country according to the Amway Coaches Poll to start the season, the Badgers have fallen to No. 24 after this weekend's defeat. Even worse, UW is out of the AP Top 25.

In the Coaches Poll, the Badgers were only barely able to fend off Utah at No. 25, finishing with a total of 108 points to the Utes' 106. No. 23 Tennessee garnered 212 points.

It's a bit curious that Wisconsin fell so far after a loss to the No. 2 team in the country. It's not as if the Badgers did anything to prove that they didn't belong in the top 25; rather, they put up somewhat of a fight against the Crimson Tide (basically) without star running back Corey Clement.

With a few consecutive bounce-back wins, Wisconsin should find itself back up around that original ranking of No. 18. Here are the full rankings following Week 1 action.
