Sam Dekker joined an impressive contingent of NBA draft prospects in Chicago on Friday for a private workout for all 30 NBA teams, and DraftExpress has captured some highlights and an interview with the former Wisconsin Badgers star in the video above.
Dekker is widely considered a top-20 prospect for the June 25 draft in Brooklyn, N.Y., and the highlights of him slashing to the rim, finishing strong and also showing off a nice jumper in the DraftExpress video seem to support that. SB Nation's latest mock draft has Dekker going No. 15 to the Atlanta Hawks, noting his "positional versatility" as a key strength.Sports Illustrated has Dekker at No. 16 to the Boston Celtics, saying he "tested extremely well athletically at the combine and, more importantly, shot well from three-point range. Dekker has an NBA body that executives love."

Along those lines, his size and versatility was among the first things Dekker touched on in the DraftExpress video.
"I'm in better shape than I've ever been in my life," he said. "I feel like, at 6'9, I have the size to play forward but I can handle and move like a guard, so I think that'll be big for me, being a mismatch and just giving a lot of dimensions to a team from the offensive end and the defensive end, being able to move my feet and using my length. So anywhere from the two through four, I can see myself playing at any moment."
Dekker went on to say that he's worked hard to improve his ball handling, as well as the consistency of his outside shooting.
"I'd go through spurts where I was really hot," Dekker said, "and then I'd go through spurts where I was really inconsistent."
