The Great Madison Bar Bracket 2015: Capitol Square region results

After 960 responses poured in for the first-round of the Capitol Square region we have closed the voting and will announce the winners. In the first two regions of the Bar Bracket, chalk has been the name of the game. There were only two upsets in the State Street Region, and one of those was an 8 vs. 9 which barely even counts.

The top two seeds on the Square, The Old Fashioned and The Great Dane, registered over 80% of the vote in their respective matchup and The Old Fashioned had the third largest margin of victory so far of the two regions. Merchant, Essen Haus and Come Back In also ran roughshod over their opponents, all garnering over 72% of the vote.

The only upset to report was No. 10 seed Tipsy Cow upending No. 7 seed Silver Dollar in fairly convincing fashion with almost 60% of voters siding with "not shuffleboard." There also weren't nearly as many "one matchup ballots" received in this region as there were in the State Street Region, so most of the totals are well rounded (despite some late ballot box stuffing from fans of The Great Dane...who were already well ahead in their matchup).
