The Great Madison Bar Bracket 2015: State Street region results

Almost 1,500 total responses came in for voting in the State Street region's round of 64 in our Great Madison Bar Bracket of 2015. Our great readers voted for eight key match-ups featuring the best of those establishments near and dear to Madison's State Street area.

As you'll see below, most won handily and expected. State Street Brats, Mondays, Paul's Club all won their match-ups with over 80 percent of the votes. The City Bar, Whiskey Jacks and Kollege Klub all won in overwhelming fashion as well.

However, two big upsets to note in this region. In the No. 8-9 seeded match-up, the Plaza over-ran Hawk's in a decisive victory, and No. 10 seed Capital Tap Haus took out A.J. Bombers and those delicious burgers with nearly 70 percent of the vote.

As a note, not everyone voted for all the match-ups in the region. What is 1,475 total responses per Google Forms might be shown with different voters selecting a winner for only one or a few match-ups per response.

Now the field is set for a very interesting Round of 32 in this region, which will play out sometime in the next week:
