Introducing B5Q's latest podcast: 'The Men in Red' talk Badgers hoops with ESPN's Rece Davis

Back in July 2013, Scott Wisniewski and I joined Bucky's 5th Quarter, aligning our podcast -- the Kielbasa Kings Sports Extravaganza -- with the great coverage B5Q presented. Since that time, we've had over 117,000 total listens from 100 episodes. We've been fortunate to have on many former Wisconsin Badgers stars, chat with great NFL players, local and national media journalists, and give you great discussion of Wisconsin sports.

As my own responsibilities have grown on the site, I had a vision to expand our podcast selection. With that, Bucky's 5th Quarter is pleased to officially announce the arrival of our new weekly podcast, "The Men in Red." The show will mostly air live on Monday nights starting in a few weeks -- but for now will be taped then released days after -- and star our own Jon Arens and Drew Hamm. I will work behind the scenes in a "producer" or "executive producer" type role.

MIR will bring you the same quality analysis and guests KKSE does, but will provide it a different spirit and focus. Scott and I bring broader coverage of Wisconsin-based sports to the site in our show with a Badger-centric viewpoint, and will continue to do so (no, you're not getting rid of us that easy). Drew and Jon will primarily discuss Wisconsin Badgers-related news, interviews and some fun segments along the way. Coming soon, a lively theme song will even be produced and sung with Drew himself (providing more insight into the reason of the podcast's name).

Their first show is now up for your viewing pleasure. They welcome ESPN's Rece Davis to discuss Badgers basketball and the Capital One Cup, along with our own Phil Mitten to dive deeper into Bo Ryan's team.
