Boom. The Wisconsin Badgers picked up the No. 1 seed they have been seeking and will face No. 16 Coastal Carolina on Friday in the first round of West regional play.
The Badgers secured the top seed after defeating Michigan State in Sunday's Big Ten tournament championship in Chicago. The win might've been Wisconsin's most impressive performance of the season, as the Badgers overcame a one-point halftime deficit and several Michigan State runs in the second half to reach overtime... where they out-scored Michigan State 11-0.
Coastal Carolina went 24-9 (12-6 Big South) after defeating Winthrop in their conference tournament championship game last weekend.
If Wisconsin wins, it'll face the winner of No. 8 Oregon and No. 9 Oklahoma State on Sunday.
We'll have much, much more on the game, the West region and the whole tournament in the coming hours and days.
