The first thing that jumps out about Kevin Estes while watching film is his mobility. At 6'6, 275 pounds, Estes routinely gets downfield and delivers blocks at the second and third levesl of the defense. His ability to move and deliver will fit in nicely with Wisconsin's run scheme, which requires a lot of movement and pulling linemen to open up running lanes.
Also, there's this gem from 247Sports' Evan Flood. Any time "most athletic lineman" and "Wisconsin" are combined, there's a good chance success follows. Estes is another classic example of the staff evaluating talent based on the scheme and fit for the program.
Source told me when the #Badgers evaluated Kevin Estes, they needed two clips before they decided to offer. http://t.co/PAR8ohvGyV

Estes choose Wisconsin over offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, BYU and Cal, among others. In sticking with Wisconsin after the coaching change, Estes appears poised to continue the storied tradition of UW offensive linemen. Scout.com recruiting expert Brice Marich labeled Estes one of the biggest sleepers in the 2015 class:
Someone who I feel is one of the top commits in this class and proved it on the field this past season was San Marcos (CA) senior offensive tackle Kevin Estes. The 6-5, 270-pound tackle has been very quiet in the recruiting process and not a kid that likes to talk to reporters. However, Estes’ play on the gridiron was anything but shy, as his aggression and pure domination was usually on display throughout the season. He is lean, long, has the frame to put on good weight, solid athleticism, body control and balance. He could possibly become one of the next big uglies added to Wisconsin’s storied offensive line history.
