Wisconsin guard Brevin Pritzl out indefinitely after re-injuring foot

The freshman suffered another injury to his left foot practicing on Tuesday at Syracuse, but won't require surgery.

Wisconsin Badgers freshman guard Brevin Pritzl re-injured his left foot and is out indefinitely, according to a UW press release Friday afternoon.

Pritzl underwent surgery after breaking the same foot in August and sat out nearly the entirety of the Badgers off-season while recovering. According to UW, the most recent injury came on Tuesday during a practice at Syracuse before Wisconsin took on the Orange in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

Pritz's injury will not require further surgery and he will be held out of competition indefinitely until further evaluation.

After playing a total of four minutes in the Badgers 92-65 victory over Siena on Nov. 15, Pritzl would still be eligible for a medical redshirt if he does not return to game action this season.

Arguably the best outside shooter on a team shooting 30.1 percent on three-pointers, Pritzl had recently begun seeing time with the first unit during practice.
