Wisconsin director of recruiting Andrew Marlatt announced that two of the Badgers' class of 2016 recruits would enter UW as mid-year enrollees on Tuesday.
Scottsdale, Ariz. (Saguaro) quarterback Kare' Lyles and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., inside linebacker Dallas Jeanty signed their financial aid paperwork, which was announced by Marlatt via Twitter.
Both are three-star prospects per 247Sports' composite rankings. The 6'1, 215-pound Lyles will have the opportunity to learn the Wisconsin offense early at quarterback behind Bart Houston, Alex Hornibrook and D.J. Gillins, should the latter return to the position after working at wide receiver this season.
Jeanty, like soon-to-be redshirt freshman inside linebacker Nick Thomas a year earlier, will get a chance to dive deep into defensive coordinator Dave Aranda's playbook (if he stays at UW for another year) and learn from T.J. Edwards, Chris Orr and others on the depth chart.
