Last week, Wisconsin Badgers football coaches traveled the country, meeting with recruits and verbal commits while maintaining a modified schedule in awaiting their bowl fate.

This week, Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst made more rounds on the recruiting trail, checking in with current commits who verbally pledged earlier in 2015. This explains the fact he was available only via teleconference on Sunday to discuss UW's acceptance to play in the 2015 Holiday Bowl against USC on Dec. 30 in San Diego, Calif.

Where was Chryst? In nice, sunny Arizona, visiting current commits in Scottsdale, Ariz., (Saguaro) quarterback Karé Lyles and Chandler, Ariz. (Hamilton) defensive lineman Garrett Rand. Lyles recently led Saguaro to a second consecutive state title, while Rand is ranked the No. 144 overall player in the nation by 247Sports' composite rankings, and No. 214 overall by Rivals.com.

Chryst traveled across the country to Florida to visit Fort Lauderdale linebacker Dallas Jeanty. Jeanty committed in June, and is arguably Wisconsin's best "unofficial recruiter." Chryst and defensive line coach Inoke Breckterfield met with the 247Sports composite three-star recruit on Wednesday.

Badgers coaching staff visits Khaleke Hudson

Chryst didn't make a trip out to Pennsylvania to visit McKeesport, Pa., standout Khaleke Hudson, but special teams coach Chris Haering, offensive coordinator Joe Rudolph and running backs coach John Settle all made the trip out east to visit the composite three-star prospect, who's rated a four-star recruit by Scout.com.

UW wasn't the only staff out to see Hudson, as Michigan and Penn State made trips out there this week. Hudson heads out to UCLA this weekend.
