The Wisconsin Badgers' offense faces an impressive Northwestern defense on Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium, but one of quarterback Joel Stave's receiving targets could see the field in his final home game.
Redshirt senior tight end Austin Traylor is expected back against the Wildcats on Senior Day. UWBadgers.com's Mike Lucas first tweeted the news.
Traylor could see his first action since the 10-6 conference-opening loss to Iowa back in early October where he suffered an arm injury. In five games, Traylor emerged as a threat in the passing game, catching 10 passes for 156 yards and three touchdowns. His presence as a solid blocker could also enhance the Wisconsin running game as well.
Lucas also noted redshirt junior tight end Eric Steffes, a reliable blocker as well, is available for action.
