Wisconsin outside linebacker Joe Schobert was named Big Ten Co-Defensive Player of the Week for Week 5, the conference announced on Monday.
Schobert dominated the Iowa offense on Saturday, posting eight tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in the Badgers' 10-6 loss.
The former walk-on from Waukesha, Wis., now leads the nation in sacks, tackles for loss and forced fumbles.
The honor is the second of Schobert's career. He was named defensive player of the week after his 11-tackle performance against Nebraska last season.
Iowa defensive back Desmond King, who intercepted Badgers quarterback Joel Stave twice in the game, was the co-winner along with Schobert.
