Serge Trezy signed to be a part of Wisconsin's Class of 2014, as a junior college transfer out of Eastern Arizona College. Along the way, however, he was not cleared academically -- and did not join the team last season:
#Badgers coach Andersen said S Serge Trezy still not cleared academically. Getting close to point of redshirt.

GA still with no update on JUCO safety Serge Trezy, meaning he probably will redshirt and join the team in January #Badgers

However, Trezy has been allowed to enroll in spring semester, and has done so already.
JUCO signee Serge Trezy tells me he's set to arrive at #Wisconsin on Jan. 13. Versatile athlete who could play a number of positions.

Some good news for #Wisconsin people. Serge Trezy posted picture of him in Madison working with new QB A. Hornibrook. pic.twitter.com/oPaXMErEeC

Our own Andrew Rosin provided this commentary last year about Serge's commitment:
Serge Trezy's going to be expected to bring something close to his listed 40-time of 4.29 seconds to the safety position. As we all remember, the Badgers had real trouble with teams getting over the top in the final two games. Trezy playing center field could well solve that problem.

Verbally committed to Wisconsin on Dec. 12, 2013
From our initial signing profile last year:
Trezy was among the class of visitors that came to the Penn State game on Nov. 30. He ended up taking one more visit to Utah the next weekend, but he committed to the Badgers on Dec. 12 and signed with them on National Signing Day. As he was a junior college player from Eastern Arizona College, the credit for him coming to Madison goes to safeties coach Bill Busch.
