LSU cornerback Rashard Robinson, receiver Malachi Dupre not playing vs. Wisconsin
LSU sophomore cornerback Rashard Robinson and freshman wide receiver Malachi Dupre did not travel with the Tigers to Houston for Saturday's game vs. Wisconsin, according to several media reports. Dupre, a former five-star recruit, sprained his ankle in practice this week and has battled injuries throughout camp. According to Geaux247, Travin Dural, John Diarse and Trey Quinn are likely LSU's top three receivers. Dural is a sophomore deep threat who caught seven passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns last year. Diarse is a redshirt freshman and Quinn is a true freshman who comes to LSU has a four-star recruit.
As for Robinson, the Advocate reports he's been under suspension after practicing with the second team for much of camp. He entered the fall as a preseason All-SEC third-team selection and came on strong late last season, starting the final two games of the season. He and fellow starting cornerback Tre'Davious White have been lauded as one of the nation's top DB duos. In Robinson's place, junior Jalen Collins is expected to start.
Also, Nola.com reported Friday that LSU has settled on sophomore Anthony Jennings as its starting quarterback for Saturday.
