Damn, this is one fine Monday. Wisconsin football returns Saturday, giving us the first game week of the season beginning today. A quick note: We put together a little Wisconsin football season preview hub for your perusal. I have a few more posts I'll be adding to it throughout the day, and hopefully you enjoy them all. Let us know what worked/didn't work! Here's what we have so far:
- A stream with all of the position previews we did throughout camp.
- A great "Getting to know" preview of LSU by new writer Zach Wingrove.
- A strong look at Melvin Gordon's Heisman Trophy chances by another new writer, Sam Brief.
- A fun read on the overall air of change in college footballl by yet another new guy, Max Brusky (whom you might know from BuckAround).
There are also several more preview-y stories from throughout the past week. Hopefully it makes for a fun collection of reads to get your week started off right.
Now, onto the links.
Jim Polzin of the State Journal has a great read on Gordon working hard in the offseason to figure out how to best his stellar sophomore season.
Another story from Polzin, this one on the cornerbacks also aiming to get better.
More on the running backs: Jeff Potrykus of the Journal Sentinel discusses how Gordon and Corey Clement will split the workload.
Potrykus also previews LSU running back Leonard Fournette, the top freshman in the country entering the season. Here's more on LSU's talented freshmen.
Tom Oates from the State Journal has a column on how Year 2 under Gary Andersen could look much different from the first.
Another from Oates: Will smaller, quicker defenses hold up in the Big Ten?
247Sports previews the newcomers to watch for each Big Ten team. I'm a big fan of Wisconsin's choice there.
BadgerNation continues its Most Indispensable Badgers series with No. 4, Kenzel Doe.
