Wisconsin will host its final scrimmage of the fall later this afternoon. It's closed to the public, but Jake will be in attendance and hopes to glean some insight into how the biggest position battles will shake out. He has a preview of five things he's hoping to find out, while Madison.com has another similar list.

Madison.com also has a nice column on Gary Andersen's unscripted moments taking the stress out of camp.

So much of Melvin Gordon's Heisman Trophy hopes seem to hinge on the LSU game.

This has been a common refrain of camp: the wide receivers are better than expected, especially in the eyes of position coach Chris Beatty.

Fox Sports Wisconsin talks the possibility of option plays this year. They won't be used with regularity (we think), but with Tanner McEvoy continuing to push Joel Stave, there's an obvious benefit in giving opposing defenses another thing to plan for.

Badger247 looks at the defensive line, which is looking stronger as backups like Arthur Goldberg step up behind Warren Herring.

The first AP poll of the season was released Sunday with Wisconsin ranked 14th.

California offensive tackle Kevin Estes committed to Wisconsin over the weekend. BadgerBlitz has a few more thoughtson the addition.
