Happy Thursday, friends. These are more like mid-morning links, but I plan on making it up to y'all with the continuation of our position previews later this afternoon. In the meantime, we're shoring up our staff and will be set to roll once Aug. 30 comes around.

Football

Jake took in Wednesday's practice and came away with several observations on Joel Stave, the freshmen wide receivers and much more.

More links from practice: Madison.com on those young receivers who continue to impress not only with their development on the field, but in their off-field temperament. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel says the entire freshman class has impressed. It seems as though Vonte Jackson might have to give up football, unfortunately. Gary Andersen was expected to meet with media on Thursday, but the Badgers have made a chance to their practice schedule and Andersen will instead be available Saturday. Assistant coaches are scheduled to speak Friday, so perhaps we'll hear more on Jackson then.

BadgerBlitz's fun "Recruiting Tales" series turns to Sam Arneson.

BadgerNation's Most Indispensable Badgers series continues with No. 12, Derek Watt.

Recruiting

Three-star Indianapolis safety Mykelti Williams (2015) is thinking about taking an official visit to Wisconsin ($).

Scout has updated 2015 rankings for Wisconsin's in-state prospects.

The Badgers are still sitting well with three-star Virginia cornerback Chuck Davis ($).

Basketball

Wisconsin is scheduled for four Super Tuesday games on ESPN this season, which is awesome.

This is a few days old, but BT Powerhouse has a great Big Ten basketball recruiting roundtable.

Hockey

Sean Little has signed an ECHL contract with the Bakersfield Condors.

Tyler Barnes has signed an AHL contract with the Grand Rapids Griffins.
