It's been a little over a year-and-a-half since Bret Bielema left Wisconsin and Barry Alvarez shortly before the 2013 Rose Bowl. Alvarez, elected by the team's senior leaders, coached the Badgers to a 20-14 loss against Stanford in the program's third consecutive loss in the Granddaddy of Them All. Nevertheless, it's interesting to look back at Alvarez's remarks throughout the process of searching for a new signal caller, specifically in the early stages of Bielema's departure and leading up to the big game.
