Wisconsin football schedule 2014: Badgers to host Western Illinois at 11 a.m.

The Big Ten announced a slate of kickoff times for early-season non-conference games, featuring quite a few 11 a.m. CT starts.

Wisconsin's second game of the season will kick off at 11 a.m. CT Sept. 6 vs. Western Illinois, the Big Ten revealed Wednesday within a slate of TV scheduling announcements. The Badgers' Week 2 game at Camp Randall Stadium is one of many -- yet again -- early kickoff times for Big Ten non-conference play. It'll air on BTN.

Wisconsin and Western Illinois have met twice (1991, 2006) with the Badgers winning both times. The Leathernecks, a Missouri Valley Football Conference member, went 4-8 last season. Their last bowl appearance was in 2003 (Pecan Bowl vs. Colgate, L 28-27).

The game will be the Badgers' home-opener at Camp Randall after opening the season vs. LSU Aug. 30 in Houston. It joins three other games on the Badgers' schedule that have announced kickoff times: the LSU game kicks off at 8 p.m. on ESPN; the Oct. 25 homecoming game vs. Maryland starts 11 a.m.; and the Nov. 1 game at Rutgers also starts at 11 a.m.
