College athletic departments' success can be measured by championships, or it can be measured by student-athlete graduation rates. Ultimately, though, it is measured by the financial value, and UW's athletic department has certainly been successful. It generated $149 million in 2013 revenue, second in the nation.

Money, money, money, moneeeey: It isn't cheap to host an inferior opponent, whether it's a D-1AA team or non-Power-5 member. Fox Sport Wisconsin's Jesse Temple reveals the dollar signs behind scheduling, and writes that Wisconsin will pay Miami (Ohio) $1 million to travel to Madison in 2015 and $1.2 million to Florida Atlantic to do the same.
Recruiting updates: Mike has the latest recruiting notebook, noting a June visit from a recruit and some recent scholarship offers extended. Florida-area linebacker Jordan Griffin told Badgers 247 he will take an official visit to campus ($) the weekend Nov. 14 when Gary Andersen's squad faces Nebraska. Wisconsin is the most prominent team that has offered the Armwood High School product a scholarship, joined by UCF, Boston College, Cincinnati, Purdue and Utah. Class of 2015 running back Ty'Son Williams discusses the potential of heading up to Madison for a visit ($), and what the coaching staff is telling him.
