Football
Former Wisconsin football recruit Dominic Cizauskas was found guilty of third-degree sexual assault on Wednesday. He faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Sophomore linebacker Leon Jacobs, who hosted Cizauskas the weekend of Dec. 14, was disciplined by the team for supplying alcohol that weekend.
He's praised, and then he's blamed. He's great, and then he's not great. He is Joel Stave, No. 2 on Fox Sports Wisconsin's Most Important Badgers list.
Former Badgers linebacker Conor O'Neil has signed with the Chicago Bears after a rookie tryout.
Basketball
Nigel Hayes' game must really be growing on people, as the sophomore was named the eighth-best power forward in college basketball by Sporting News.
Brian Butch is hosting a one-day basketball camp at Just A Game Fieldhouse June 23 in the Wisconsin Dells.
Hockey
Sources told B5Q that Boston College women's hockey goaltender Megan Miller is transferring to Wisconsin to play for Mark Johnson. Miller's brother, Adam, is a member of the men's squad.
Quick Hitters
Goodbye, NCAA. It was nice knowin' ya. Kevin Trahan has a terrific piece on the demise of amateurism.
My best article of the week goes to ESPN.com's Ramona Shelbourne and her excellent, excellent story on Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling's fall in basketball and in life.
