Warranted or not, Bo Ryan's vacant Final Four appearances were weighing on his legacy. Of course, he would get the monkey off his back this past season to put the critics to sleep. But his son, Matt, the Director of Basketball Operations at the University of Illinois-Chicago with Howard Moore, had some interesting remarks prior to the Final Four run regarding how much Bo wanted to get to the Final Four. He also relived some moments with his grandfather, Butch, who passed away last August.
