Football

New season, new look? Mike details an array of possible uniform combinations Gary Andersen and his squad might flash throughout the 2013-14 season. I like anything new that Wisconsin rolls out in terms of uniforms but as Mike points out, please no jerseys like the one the team sported against Nebraska two seasons ago.

It'll be a Badgers reunion in August: The Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans will practice with each other on August 13-14, and J.J. Watt's team will do the same with Montee Ball and the Denver Broncos on August 19-21.

Russell Wilson meets The Captain, Mr. Derek Jeter.

Basketball

This would be pretty neat:

I wasn't surprised by the omission of Bo Ryan's name on the list of the best coaches who excel at getting their players to the next level (Insider). Why? Well, there are a whole host of reasons -- one of them mainly being the type of players he and his staff recruits. Most importantl,y though, Ryan equally excels at getting his players ready for life after basketball. And that's not to say other coaches who are featured in the list -- Billy Donovan, Fred Hoiberg and many more -- don't do the same, but this quote from Ryan prior to the team's Final Four matchup against Kentucky is very telling about how serious he is about the success off the court as much as he is on it.

"What I like about Wisconsin fans is they understand these are student-athletes who actually are here for the purpose of an education first and playing ball second. That's what makes them really endearing, as far as a coach who's stayed in the state this long."

Hockey

According to Andy Baggot of the Wisconsin State Journal, a fair amount of tickets are still remaining for the Blake Geoffrion Classic, slated for June 27. You can purchase tickets here.

Recruiting

With a big weekend set for recruiting visits, Drew breaks down where Wisconsin stands with several prospects.

Georgia wide receiver Tyshawn Brown has narrowed his top list with Wisconsin making the cut ($). It seems as though new running back coach Thomas Brown has made quite an impression on the young man.

Recent interest by Andersen and Brown has resonated with another recruit, as defensive end Gus Cumberlander is excited about the scholarship offer from UW
