Forwards Presley Norby, Alexis Mauermann and Sophia Shaver, as well as defenseman Mekenzie Steffen were named to the US U-18 World Championships Roster that was unveiled Wednesday.

These future Badgers will compete Jan. 5-12 in the 2015 International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Women's World Championships, which this year are being held in Buffalo, N.Y.
All four of the women have been part of USA Hockey Player Development camps throughout their high school careers and they all took part in the three-game series against Canada in August that came following the 2014 USA Hockey Women's National Festival. Mauermann notched a goal and an assist in the series, Shaver had two assists and Steffen had one assist.
The World Championships feature the US as well as Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Japan, Russia, Switzerland and Sweden. The US will open its tournament against Canada on Jan. 5. Canada won two of three games in the series the teams played in August. Team USA faces Czech Republic on Tuesday, the 6th and Russia on the 7th.
