Paul Chryst spoke to the media in Fort Worth, Texas, on Monday in the introductory press conference for of the Armed Forces Bowl on Jan. 2, 2015. It was the first time Chryst has been in front of the media since it was reported he will likely be the next head football coach for the Wisconsin Badgers.
Let's go to the timeline of AP reporter Will Graves.
If you're keeping track, Paul Chryst was given another opportunity to say he's staying at Pitt long-term, and chose not to do so.

Chryst today in Ft Worth: "I told them that I received a call. I talked to them and right now, I'm excited to be back with (Pitt)."

Chryst: "I was told nothing will happen before (Wed). I don't know and I don't know what (Wisc.) thinking specifically."

Chryst said he had to catch a plane after appearance, stressed it was back to Pittsburgh. "I feel really fortunate to be at Pitt ."

Chryst said he was honest with recruits/team, says players understand ties to Wisc. Again, he declined to say he was sticking long-term— Will Graves (@WillGravesAP) December 15, 201
So, let's recap. Chryst said he's heard form Wisconsin, knows that nothing official can be said until Wednesday and is headed back to Pittsburgh (via a plane!) for which he is fortunate. He is being honest with his players and recruits, and think they understand what his ties to Wisconsin mean.
To recap the recap: Chryst isn't afrad of flying and said some things about Wisconsin that we all pretty much knew. More telling is what he didn't say: something along the lines of, "I am and will remain the head coach of the Pittsburgh Panthers."
