Coming off a Battle 4 Atlantis title, the Wisconsin Badgers stayed put at No. 2 in the AP Poll, while sliding down a spot to No. 4 in the Coaches Poll, in Monday's new rankings.
The 7-0 Badgers took three first place votes from Kentucky in the AP Poll and despite falling behind Arizona in the Coaches poll, retained their two to one advantage in first place votes. Kentucky and Duke join Arizona ahead of the Badgers according to the coaches.
Wisconsin stormed through the Battle 4 Atlantis, beating UAB, Georgetown and Oklahoma on their way to a 3-0 week. I don't know if you've heard about Wisconsin's schedule this week, but, they play a little team from North Carolina in the B1G/ACC Challenge on Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. CT. As if battling Duke at the Kohl Center wasn't enough, Wisconsin will travel 50 minutes east on Saturday to take on in-state rival Marquette at 11:30 a.m. CT! To state the obvious, this is a big week for the Badgers.
Other Big Ten teams in the polls include Illinois (24 AP/25 Coaches), Maryland (21/22), Michigan State (19/18), Michigan (17/16) and Ohio State (14/13). Nebraska received votes in both polls.
