College football rankings: Wisconsin jumps to No. 11 in Coaches Poll, AP top 25

Grey Satterfield

After defeating Minnesota for the Big Ten West Division title, the Wisconsin Badgers have jumped three spots in both the Coaches Poll and AP Top 25. The latest College Football Playoff rankings coming Tuesday night.

In Saturday's Big Ten Championship Game, Wisconsin draws a matchup with Ohio State, which jumped to No. 6 after defeating Michigan. The Buckeyes did lose quarterback J.T. Barrett for the season to a fractured right ankle, however.

Win or lose, the most likely bowl scenario for Wisconsin is one of the non-Playoff New York's Day bowls. We've previously discussed here the chances of a Playoff berth should the Badgers win the Big Ten, but that doomsday scenario seems unlikely at this point.
