Freshman Annie Pankowski netted her first collegiate hat trick Thursday and added a goal and an assist on Friday to help earn herself Rookie of the Week honors in the WCHA.
The assist gave her twelve for the year, which ranks first among all rookies and fourth overall nationally. She has six goals, giving her eighteen points, third on the team.
Those eighteen points are the most by any freshman in the country. She's averaging 1.38 points per game, highest among WCHA rookies and second highest among all freshman nationally.
This was the fourth time this season a Badger rookie has earned the WCHA honor.
The Badgers are in St. Cloud Friday and Saturday to face the Huskies. Games are at 3 pm both days.
