Sam Dekker missed practice on Friday as he continues to deal with an ankle injury, according to a variety of internet reports.
Dekker suffered the injury last Friday. He exited the court without putting any pressure on his left side and was listed as day-to-day. He was still hurting earlier this week, but at least he's able to put in work on his shot. Wisconsin has an exhibition vs. UW-Parkside scheduled for Nov. 5 before the opener vs. Northern Kentucky on Nov. 14. No indication has been given that Dekker will miss any time, though considering who we're talking about here, this injury is obviously one to monitor.
More news from Thursday's practice:
Duje Dukan also played well today for Red team (Kaminsky was on White team). Dukan made 4 of 8 shots for 9 pts. with 4 rebounds.

A couple other things that stood out from scrimmage. I had Traevon Jackson with team-high 5 assists. Nigel Hayes blocked 3 shots. #Badgers

Forgot to mention some great Bo Ryan-isms from hoops. When Vitto Brown had a turnover: "Vitto, it's not a hand grenade. It's not going off."

When #Badgers had a lapse during zone offense drill, Bo said: "If you can't pass and you can't catch, you can't play." Well put.

One more from Bo: When walk-on T.J. Schlundt missed a 3, Bo told him to make it: "I don't care if you've made 15 in a row. Make 16."

CBS Sports releases top 100 players for 2014-15: As you'd expect, Dekker and Frank Kaminsky are real high on this list. UW's swingman is fourth, while Kaminsky checks in at No. 5. CBS Sports' writers cite the difficulty in placing one above the other; I'm of the opinion that Kaminsky deserves the higher ranking for his proven production and his utility as a stretch big man, but I'm not about to chide Dekker, either. The fact that he grew 2-to-3 inches this offseason and is drawing Ivan Drago comparisons is certainly driving hype his way.
Reminder: SB Nation has its own top 100 list, and it's even got a real nice, fancy layout. Definitely worth a perusal to check out Mike Rutherford's always-excellent analysis.
The UW Bookstore's troll game is in mid-season form: Good find, Zack:
University Bookstore might have Frank Kaminsky's nickname a little too close to that #44 jersey for NCAA's liking pic.twitter.com/WQeyNQNYKN

I eagerly await the day when we're all watching the NCAA trying to argue that a red "The Tank" sign is a likeness violation.
Gary Andersen talks after practice: Switching gears to football, we didn't have a writeup on Andersen's Thursday comments because they were pretty short. You can watch the full three-minute session below:
