UPDATE, 3:46 p.m.: Multiple reports say Eau Claire (Regis), Wis., safety Jaxon Brown will also visit Wisconsin this weekend. Brown committed to North Dakota State in July, though he does hold offers from Air Force, Army, Fordham, North Dakota and South Dakota State.
---
I know what you're thinking: the Wisconsin Badgers have no Osa Masina visiting, no Antonio Williams and, hell, even Antonyo Sotolongo has been forced to reschedule. This recruiting weekend is going to at once suck and blow for excitement.
But I say to you, fear not! The Badgers look like they will at least add one more prospect to their coffers out of the two uncommitted recruits that are traveling all this way. When that happens, it's always a good thing.
DT Olive Sagapolu
Sagapolu is the teammate of Wisconsin tight end commit and future recruiting coordinator (and co-visitor this weekend) Kyle Penniston. Sagapolu is also a potentially perfect fit at nose tackle for UW. Right now, his recruitment is between Washington State and Wisconsin. He visited Pullman on Oct. 3, but the Badgers seem like they're going to close his visits Saturday. Wisconsin looks like the favorite, so the only question is this: do the Badgers have to wait a spell for the commitment? Washington State and Sacramento State are Sagapolu's only other known offers, and only one 247Sports Crystal Ball prediction has been entered... and it's for Wisconsin.
Sagapolu would be Wisconsin's first defensive tackle commit for 2015; Nate Howard, Jake Pickard and David Pfaff are all in the fold at defensive end. Per 247's Composite rankings, Sagapolu is a three-star prospect and the No. 69 defensive tackle for 2015.
DT Elu Aydon
How far is Pago Pago in the American Samoa from Camp Randall Stadium? 6,456 miles. Why am I telling you this? Because it looks like the three-star defensive tackle from the American Samoa will finally commit to Wisconsin. The Badgers have led for Aydon since they made a post All-Poly offer on July 29, and there's usually two reasons that a recruit doesn't add offers to his list. Since the Badgers are allowing him to travel two Americas away from home to visit, one can assume his mind's pretty well made up.
So yeah, there's only two uncommitted recruits visiting, but between them and Jordan Griffin, it looks like the Badgers are going on a bit of a run. As for Griffin, the decision ceremony he's been planning with family and friends will take place this weekend:
I will be announcing my commitment this Saturday at 8:00. PM #blessed #ready2work
— Jordan Griffin (@HawkStar40) October 23, 2014
Griffin currently holds 94 percent of 247's Crystal Ball predictions, and their fancy chart indicates a serious swing away from UCF, his other favorite.
Of course, visit situations are fluid, and if there's any news that changes on the visit path, we'll keep you up to date.
Committed visitors:
So pumped to reunite with the bros @kyle_penniston @mrkafentzis this weekend in Madison
