Scoring Recap:

FIRST PERIOD

1-0 UMass-Lowell (7:11) -- Joseph Pendenza (White, Houk): Joseph Pendenza carries the puck into the zone and rips a wrist shot from the faceoff circle under the glove of Wisconsin goaltender Joel Rumpel.

SECOND PERIOD

2-0 UMass-Lowell (3:12) -- Christian Folin (Scott Wilson): The River Hawks jump out to a 2-0 lead as they take advantage on a line-rush. Sophomore Scott Wilson feeds a pass to spring Christian Folin in all alone, and the freshman blue-liner notches his sixth goal of the season.

3-0 UMass-Lowell (14:08) -- Shayne Thompson (Jake Suter): Jake Suter, the son of former Badger Gary, sends Shayne Thompson on a breakaway, and the junior forward does the rest, chipping a shot past Rumpel to give Lowell a 3-0 lead.

THIRD PERIOD

3-1 Wisconsin (8:19) -- Nic Kerdiles (LaBate, Ramage): With the Badgers on the power play, freshman Nic Kerdiles turns and fires from the hash marks and the puck sneaks in with Brendan Woods screening goaltender Connor Hellebuyck.

4-1 UMass-Lowell (13:56) -- Derek Arnold (McGrath): Another turnover leads to another odd-man rush, and Ryan McGrath feeds a pass across the slot to Derek Arnold who buries it past Rumpel in the far corner.

5-1 UMass-Lowell (19:12) -- Adam Chapie: Empty net goal.

6-1 UMass-Lowell (19:57) -- Ryan McGrath: Late breakaway, and UMass-Lowell moves on to the Regional final.
