The Badgers Are 25/1 to Win The Whole Thing

Strictly within a legal gambling-only context, it's always fun to see where Las Vegas sets its odds in comparison to actual rankings, records and the like.

According to Bovada, Wisconsin has 25/1 odds to win this month's NCAA tournament. The Badgers are tied with Michigan there, giving them the 14th-best odds to do so. Louisville has the best at 19/4, followed by Indiana at 5/1, Florida at 7/1 and Gonzaga and Kansas both at 10/1.

For comparison's sake -- these things don't necessarily go hand in hand -- Wisconsin enters March Madness ranked No. 17 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and No. 18 in the AP Top 25.

Perhaps more relevant - unless you're among those pegging Wisconsin for the Final Four -- are the Badgers' 8/1 odds to win the West Region. Top-seeded Gonzaga is at 5/2, followed by No. 2 seed Ohio State at 11/4 and No. 3 seed New Mexico at 5/1. No. 8 seed Pittsburgh also has 8/1 odds, which means No. 4 Kansas State drops to 16/1 (also behind No. 6 seed Arizona at 12/1).
