Wisconsin earned a No. 5 seed in the 2013 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, drawing the No. 12 Ole Miss Rebels in the West Region. The two teams will square off on Friday in Kansas City, Mo., CBS revealed in its Selection Sunday special following the Badgers' 60-53 loss to Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament championship game.

The Badgers enjoyed a surprising run in the conference tourney after struggling down the stretch of the regular season, falling to Michigan State and barely beating Penn State. But impressive wins over Michigan and Indiana and Saturday's hard-fought battle with Ohio State on Sunday should provide some element of confidence entering March Madness. This also means Wisconsin gets a glimpse of Ole Miss star Marshall Henderson, the polarizing, sensational junior who averaged 20 points per game for the SEC champions.
Gonzaga is the No. 1 seed in the West Region, followed by Ohio State, New Mexico and Kansas St. One of many, many interesting notes: Michigan, who Wisconsin beat twice this season, earned a No. 4 seed in the South Region.
In total, seven Big Ten teams made the tournament:
- Indiana (No. 1 seed, East)
- Ohio State (No. 2 seed, West)
- Michigan St. (No. 3 seed, Midwest)
- Michigan (No. 4 seed, South)
- Wisconsin (No. 5 seed, West)
- Illinois (No. 7 seed, East)
- Minnesota (No. 11 seed, South)
