With 17:43 to go in the first half, Aaron Craft hit a mid-range jumper to tie the score at 6-6.
With 8:59 to go in the first half, Deshaun Thomas hit a mid-range jumper of his own. It made the score 24-8 in favor off Wisconsin. And that's the story of Sunday's first half between the Badgers and the Buckeyes.
Wisconsin's 18-0 run allowed the Badgers to open up a 39-22 lead heading into the break. Ben Brust hit three three-pointers (3-4 FG, 3-4 3P, 0-1 FT) to power the run as he finished the half with nine points. Sam Dekker (3-5 FG, 2-2 3P) added eight, Mike Bruesewitz (3-5 FG, 0-1 3P) and Ryan Evans (3-5 FG) added six apiece, and Jared Berggren (4-5 FG, 2-2 FT) leads the Badgers with 10 points.
DeShaun Thomas sits atop the scoring leaderboard for Ohio State with 10 points, but he shot just 5-for-11 from the field in the half, a far sight from his amazing 10-for-15 performance back in Columbus. The rest of the Buckeyes were held in check; the team is shooting just 32.3 percent (10-for-31). Point guard Aaron Craft particularly struggled, making just two of eight shots for four points.
The Badgers enter halftime shooting 59.3 percent (16-for-27) from the field, including 55.6 percent (5-for-9) from three point land.
