In a recruitment that's developed quickly, Wisconsin officially accepted the commitment of South Carolina running back Caleb Kinlaw. Kinlaw, a former Georgia Tech commit, was among the visitors who came up for the BYU game, and reports had him wavering earlier in the week. Thursday, Kinlaw officially joined the Badgers' camp.
Kinlaw committed to Georgia Tech in July over offers from Arizona, Clemson, Kansas State, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia Tech, but when running backs coach Thomas Hammock came along, he was able to secure the flip from the Yellow Jackets. Suffice it to say, the Badgers have themselves a potential sleeper talent.
In the grand scheme, this will likely end the Badgers' recruitment of Chris James. The Badgers now have two running backs for 2014, and considering just how important Joe Mixon is to the their plan -- the energy toward his recruitment will now have full focus -- James has likely been squeezed out.
But the way Hammock's been recruiting, Kinlaw doesn't feel like a consolation prize.
