Russell Wilson began his first game as an NFL starting quarterback on the road out west as the Seattle Seahawks take on the Arizona Cardinals. Wilson's first attempt was a tipped pass saved by Sidney Rice for a completion.
In wrestling terms, Wilson is the classic "babyface" -- the hero that the crowd loves to root for. Being Wisconsin Badgers fans, we're no exceptions in Wilson's case, just as national writers like Bill Simmons are now fawning over Wilson as he's taken control of the Seattle huddle. Another former Badger, Arizona LB O'Brien Schofield, will try to play the role of heel today in today's tilt.
Consider this your open thread to discuss all things Badgers + NFL. We'll update this post with highlights of the early games as well.
